Flat lay of a notebook, pen, cup of coffee, small tallow jar, iPhone, and potted plant with the text “Simplify Your Hustle.”

Why I Scaled Back My Tallow Products — and What It Taught Me About Side Hustles

I trimmed a few of my tallow products recently—not because I’m done making skincare, but because not everything deserved my time. Lip balms barely moved. Pre-made whipped tallows dried out before they sold. Some things made sense, others didn’t. So I simplified. Now I only whip tallows to order, and I’m keeping the rest of the line steady, high-quality, and easy to maintain.

And honestly?
Side hustles work the exact same way.
You don’t need twelve.
You just need the ones that fit your life, make sense, and actually move the needle.

I’m not here to sell anyone a fantasy or pretend there’s one “magic” way to make money from home. I’m here to share what’s real—options that everyday women can actually do in between laundry cycles, dog walks, doctor appointments, and the chaos of normal life.

Here are the same hustles that have worked for me:

Reselling

A solid way to earn without a big startup cost. Practical. Flexible. Teaches you fast what sells and what doesn’t.

Affiliate Content

Talk about products you already use. When someone buys through your link, you earn. Simple and repeatable.

UGC (User-Generated Content)

Brands want real people making short videos. You don’t need a big following—just the ability to record clean, honest content.

Digital Products

Labels, planners, checklists—things homemakers already create for their own homes can become income when packaged well.

Handmade Skincare (Done Wisely)

If you go this route, don’t overload yourself with 15 products. Keep what performs. Release what doesn’t. Learn from my mistake.

The bigger message:
Whether it’s skincare or side hustles, the same rule applies—
drop what drains you and double down on what pays you.

There’s nothing glamorous or “viral” about it. It’s just real life.
Season of life matters. Time matters. And yes—results always vary because effort, consistency, and circumstances vary.

If you’re looking for honest ways to earn from home without gimmicks, pressure, or false promises, that’s the lane I’m staying in. We keep it real here.
